<</nobr>><center><h1>Unit Prefixes of a Future Humanity</h1></center>\
<h2>Introduction</h2>\
Many years from now, the unit prefixes used in science by man will look different than they do today. To match the mathematical notation of other intergalactic civilizations, human societies adopted a base-twelve system, and the SI prefixes of today were greatly extended to meet the mathematical and scientific needs of humanity.
<h2>Powers of Twelve</h2>\
The SI prefixes have not only been converted to powers of <<numberCycle>>, but they have also be extended into seven different "levels", as detailed below.
The first level is the most familiar, with a prefix for every third power of <<numberCycle>>, up to <<numberCycle>>. In addition, there are prefixes for <<numberCycle>>, <<numberCycle>>, <<numberCycle>>, and <<numberCycle>>. Matching prefixes exist for the negative counterpart of each power. Every positive power ends in -a, while every negative power ends in -o.

Beyond level one, concatenation is used. Level two prefixes only cover every <<numberCycle>> power of <<numberCycle>>, but can be combined with level one prefixes. Only one prefix per level may be used in a compound prefix, and only one instance of it may be used. Only multiples of <<numberCycle>> are allowed in compounds (all prefixes except deka/deko, senta/sento, miria/mirio, and hebda/hebdo). Prefixes are arranged from smallest to largest in absolute value, or lowest level to highest level. The -a or -o at the end of a prefix is removed if it is not the last prefix. Prefixes for positive powers and prefixes for negative powers may not be mixed.
For example, an amosaunit is equal to <<numberCycle>> units, a kilaunit is equal to <<numberCycle>> units, and a kilamosaunit is equal to <<numberCycle>> units.

There are only two level seven prefixes, nila and nilo, but unlike other levels, these may be repeatedly added to the end of a compound prefix to generate larger or smaller numbers.

<h2>Powers of Two</h2>\
Any of the prefixes above, and the compound forms of them, may have the prefix bi- (/pi/) concatenated to the end of the compound prefix. This converts the prefix into two raised by the same power as before. For instance, a megaunit is equal to <<numberCycle>> units, while a megabiunit is equal to <<numberCycle>> units. Powers of twelve and powers of two may not be mixed into one prefix, and only one bi- prefix is allowed per compound prefix.
<h2>Reciprocal and Negatives</h2>\
To change a unit to its reciprocal, the prefix rez- (/rɛts/) may be added to the unit. If there are multiplier prefixes attached as well, rez- goes in front of them. For example, rezunits are reciprocal units, while rezdekaunits are reciprocal dekaunits. This is distinct from the prefixes for negative powers, as those refer to the scale of the unit, while this directly applies to the unit. For instance, reciprocal seconds measure how many times something happens per second.
To multiply a unit by negative one, the prefix nega- (/nɛ.ka/) may be used. If there are other multiplier prefixes attached, nega- goes in front of them. Rez- goes in front of nega-, however. For example, <<numberCycle>> negaunits is equal to <<numberCycle>> units, while <<numberCycle>> negadekaunits is equal to <<numberCycle>> units. Using a negative sign is preferred to using nega-, but the prefix exists to facilitate communication with alien civilizations that have other preferences.<<nobr>>
